Campo Alegre 2008 Clean Up Plan

Campo Alegre is an absolutely leave no trace group. We separate out all paper and aluminum trash.
Paper and cardboard trash is put in paper leaf collection bags that we burn on Sunday. We only put the burnables in official burn stations that are on the Esplanade. Recyclable aluminum cans go to Recycle Camp throughout the week. All other trash is carried out with us and taken to the City Dump in Reno. We always have extra room in our vehicles for the taking out of Trash.
We never leave trash in the Port a Potties – the only thing that goes in the Porta Potties is what comes out of our bodies.
We have an evaporation pool where we dump waste water that we want to evaporate – instead of dumping grey water on the Playa.
Everything we have will be secured and tied down – so as not to blow away. We know from experience how important this is.
We do a thorough search everyday for all MOOP and any trash. This is part of our Leave no Trace Cleanup ethic.
We will not be giving out material gifts that leave trash. We will not be passing out flyers related to our camp. Andrea Infelt will be our LNT point person in charge of co-ordinating our cleanup plan.
